Overview
FloLocs is a hair braiding service which caters predominately for Afro-Caribbean hairstyles such as faux locs. The brand originates from Instagram and wanted to provided a site where clients could book their hair appointment with ease.
The brands aesthetic is in line with earthy browns and simple, user friendly designs.
User Flows and Wireframes
A very simple user flow was developed after obtaining an understanding of the aim of the website. Other booking sites were analysed for their general user flow and similarities/differences to each other. Desired aspects were incorporated into the user flow.
This was then developed into a hand drawn wireframe to map out the possible navigation through the site.
Design Process
The website was designed and prototyped using Adobe XD.
The colour palette and general aesthetic originated from the brand's logo. The client wanted a natural/earthy brown palette and a simple minimalist overall look.
The desktop version was created first, then adapted for mobile use.
